"Clara's Secrets" is a charming, quirky New York story featuring Clara Reynolds, a Tennessee bred New York fashion designer who has a drunken, life-altering experience one night outside a glamorous Metropolitan Museum gala. No one sees her horrendous fall. Regardless, this pivotal moment sends her into a self-imposed exile from society with a growing obsession to learn the truth of her two most influential client's lives. Her desire to be a fly on the wall (hence the spy jewelry) and her self-confessed envy of the beautiful clothes she designs —"They go everywhere, they are having all the fun"— lead her to pursue not only her freedom, but the freedom for others. Clara's quest for life's truths put her on a unexpected path to self-discovery, and it's not the same-old standard therapist couch self-examination: she chooses to have secret confessionals at the Central Park Zoo with an unusual "employee". There are surprises and secrets revealed along the way, and as Marjorie the supporting lead says, "Life, what a ride!" The same can be said of "Clara's Secrets". |
