"I believe a good story, a story worth telling, gently exposes our frailties,
our imperfections, and like magic, takes us to wondrous places.
My charming, quirky tales are portraits of adventurous women,
imaginative and curious women, intelligent and brave women,
but most of all, funny as hell women."

                                                      Lorraine Parish

                                                                                  dreaming....

                                                                                  once i dreamed of dancing,
                                                                              so a dancer i became.

and when my dreams turned to fashion,
i created elegant, lovely clothes to acclaim.

                                now i dream of stories,
intimate tales i tell to you.
tales of a lady, her secrets, and her creature,
of two hermits, their bear, their crow, and a doe.

i write of ghosts sharing mysterious stories
of their forgotten lives and long ago woes.
i write of the adventures of a woman,
                                                                               the quick-change-artist angel
who helps those who are living,
by helping those who are gone.
                                                                               and tomorrow?  i dream,

                                                                               tomorrow, i dream on.
